Grenadilla Wood vs ABS Resin:
Grenadilla wood is an incredibly dense and stable wood that's been used in clarinets for centuries. It sounds rich and smooth. Entry-level model clarinets are ABS resin which while not producing as smooth a tone, it does provide durability and is lightweight so it is easier for a student to maintain the playing position for extended periods of time.
