More info

In response to high-quality, low-priced import guitars, Fender created the Lead Series in 1979, featuring a new solid-body design, hard-tail bridges and cool new wiring options. Appealing to a wide variety of players, the sleek new Lead models kicked off a fresh creative era in Fender’s history.

The Player Lead III, a tribute to the original 1982-only model, features a set of hot alnico Player humbucking pickups, dual-toggle switches for pickup selection and coil-splits, and a modern "C" neck shape with medium jumbo frets. Available in Purple Metallic, as well as classic Olympic white and Sienna Sunburst versions.

The Player Lead Series offers style, power and versatility in a comfortable, easy-to-play package.

Undoubtedly one of the most significant guitar manufacturers in Rock 'n' Roll history - the name Fender for guitars officially began in 1946 as a 37 year old Leo Fender began working on what was to be the first ever mass produced solid body electric guitar - or what we now know and love as the Fender Telecaster.

Pioneering iconic instruments such as the Stratocaster, the Jazz and Precision Basses as well as the Jazzmaster and Jaguar to name a few - Fender Guitars and Amplifiers have always rung true with the needs of musicians worldwide and even with developments over time, always maintaned that classic Fender DNA.

And the best place in Australia to find them? Sound Centre of course!

Sound Centre was built from the ground up over 30 years ago with a team of passionate, guitar lovers that has only grown since then. As well as displaying the finest range this side of the equator from entry level Squiers up to prestigious Fender Custom Shop instruments that would make even Keith Richards shed a tear - it's this undying passion for finding the right guitar for the right player that makes the Sound Centre difference.
