![]() TICKLING THE IVORIES AT PMH A generous spirit filled the room at this year’s Brian Gardner Pink Ribbon Ball as guests hit the right note when it came to bidding for a grand piano to be presented to Princess Margaret Hospital. The Kayserburg Grand Piano, fittingly painted pink, came under the hammer realizing $20,900 at the Ball held in support of breast cancer research for Cancer Council WA. The instrument, given up for auction by Sound Centre, will be music to the youngsters ears when presented to PMH as internationally acclaimed pianist and virtuoso Viola player Katie McKay, will give a special concert. “The Kayserburg Grand Piano which had undergone a pink makeover by Prestige Polishing was the most anticipated auction item of the night. It was a magical moment when the final bid was made”, says Barbara McNaught, CEO of Momentum Forum Events – organiser of the Pink Ribbon Ball.
